Breaking News: The First Case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Reported in Western Pennyslvania
It's being reported the first case of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) happened in Washington, PA.
According to reports, Western Pennsylvania is reporting it’s first official case related to the spread of the Corona Virus (COVID-19).
President Trump issued a state of emergency for the United States earlier this afternoon and the Governor of Pennsylvania also declared an emergency for the state; closing all PA schools for the next 10 days.
Although the story is developing, here is what’s being reported:
The case was added to the growing list of Pennsylvania cases during a 5 p.m. update by the state Department of Health.
Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said the presumptive positive case in Washington County is an adult.
Cumberland County in south-central Pennsylvania also had its first three cases confirmed by the state.
