Hey Pittsburgh! It’s Ki Ki Brown, Pretty Kitty On Ya Radio, here to tell you about a few virtual events happening in your area! Let’s find out what’s good in your hood:

It’s another Neighborhood Drop Off presented by the Community Emergency Response Team, in conjunction with the Community Empowerment Association and sponsored by the Community At Large! This Saturday, drivers, sorters, and packers are needed to help with the huge supply of food and other important items needed to help families in need in the Homewood community. Donate perishable and non-perishable food items for our seniors who can’t make it out to the stores throughout the week. The drop off will take place at the Homewood-Brushton YMCA in the parking lot (7120 Kelly Street) from 12P to 4P. MONETARY DONATIONS will also be accepted via PayPal. Check the links below to make a donation and for more information:

We can’t forget about our four-legged family during this pandemic! The Gallery on Penn will be distributing dog food on Saturday, April 11th from 1P to 3P 5937 Penn Avenue in East Liberty. If you need dog food during the COVID-19 crisis, please feel free to visit! For more information, find Kin of Duncan on Facebook.

Celebrate an EGG-cellent Easter with Young, Black Motivated Kings, in partnership with Arnold’s Tea and E.A.T. Initiative. They will be distributing free Easter dinners and free Easter baskets this Sunday at Arnold’s Tea from 12 PM to 3 PM.

This is a pick-up event only and donations are being accepted.

On Monday, VLP (Veterans Leadership Program) is proud to partner with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to host their Military Share food distribution again, this coming Monday, April 13th from 12:00-5:00 PM at VLP (2934 Smallman Street, downtown).

MilitaryShare is designed to provide nutritious foods for Veterans and Military families.
