Hey Pittsburgh! It’s Ki Ki Brown, Pretty Kitty On Ya Radio, here to tell you about a few virtual events happening in your area! Let’s find out what’s good in your hood:

Black Urban Gardeners presents healing the Earth and Each Other Farm Work Day! Lend a hand and help black farmers plant food Saturday, June 6th from 3P to 6P, at the Homewood Historical farm 7013 Monticello Street in Homewood. For more information, email, blackfarmerscoop@gmail.com! Dinner will be served afterwards!

The National Pan Hellenic Council presents a food relief fund to help provide “to go” grocery bags for Pittsburgh and Philadelphia communities. You can send donations via CashApp ($NPHCRELIEF) and PayPal (PayPal.me/IUPNPHCReliefFund) and the bags will be distributed tomorrow! The Pittsburgh pick up will be at 2305 Somers Drive from 1P to 4P

It’s a calling for the Black community to join Brother Ash Productions and other community leaders for the Black Men’s Solidarity event happening Sunday, June 7th at 1P at Freedom Corner in the Hill District. There will be a discussion on unity considering the recent events of violence not just associated with the police but also within our own communities. Although we’re in the green, you are encouraged to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. For more information, call 724-205-9376

The Next NAACP committee will be hosting an online panel discussion about the issues we’re having in the black community. The forum will take place this coming Monday June 8th at 7PM via ZOOM. I will be moderating! The Next NAACP committee is an independent group made up of Pittsburgh NAACP members and stakeholders and not affiliated with the Pittsburgh Branch NAACP.
