Pittsburgh Iotas Beautify our Burgh clean up will happen on Saturday, September 19 at 2 PM on Bigelow Blvd. between Fifth Avenue and O’Hara Street. This day will be special due to Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. celebrating 57 years.

 

September is Black Girls Equity Month! We are celebrating our girls all month long, and beyond. This is a 2 day virtual summit along with a kick off equity rally and Netflix watch event. Tickets can be purchased on Gwen’s Girls website!

 

It’s Free Shred Saturday!

  • Strip District
  • Monroeville – Haymaker Rd.
  • Bridgeville
  • Washington

Sat. Oct. 3, 11am-2pm:

  • Waterfront
  • Pleasant Hills
  • Fox Chapel
  • Cranberry
  • North Huntingdon
  • Peters Twp.

Face masks are required. You must be wearing one to participate.

Please hand your items directly to the Shred-It Associate when it is your turn.

If you are physically unable to unload items, we will assist you under these conditions:

– Items must be in your trunk

– You must wear a mask & remain in your vehicle during the unloading process

We are kindly asking for monetary donations or new school supplies to benefit The Education Partnership.

There is a limit of 5 file boxes per person. We will gladly shred more during the last hour of the event if there is space in the truck.

Remove any binder clips. Paper clips, staples, and window envelopes can be shredded.

A community health fair will be happening Tuesday, September 22dn in Homewood at the Alma Illery Medial Center (in the parking lot). There will be COVID info available, blood pressure screenings, YOGA, and more! This is a FREE EVENT!
