What’s Good In Ya Hood for the Weekend of March 14, 2020

Find out what community events are happening this weekend in your area!

Pretty Kitty here! I found a few community events happening this weekend in and around the Pittsburgh area! Here’s What’s Good In Ya Hood this weekend:

All Gifts Night is an event happening this Saturday in Braddock that will feature local artists in music and spoken word! It’s happening at the Dwelling Place Café on 4th in Braddock (408 Lobinger Avenue) Showtime is at 6 PM!

The Black History Month Wrap Up is a day of reflection and community! This event is happening in East Pittsburgh at the Manna From On High Ministries 416 Franklin Street. Have lunch, watch a film and celebrate the life and legacy of Harriet Tubman. There’s also a gallery walk in her honor! Everything starts at 12 O’clock!

Saturday is very busy especially for our high schoolers who are looking to continue their education in higher learning! Stop by the 3rd Annual Scholarship Summit, presented by PA State Representative, Ed Gainey. This FREE event will take place at the Hosanna House (807 Wallace Avenue) in Wilkinsburg from 2P to 4P and speak to representatives about college scholarships that are available. Local colleges, area foundations, and ROTC programs will be on-site and your high schooler can ask all the necessary questions to get them enrolled for the upcoming school year.

And that’s what’s good in your hood!
