The Homewood Experience is hosting a virtual grant workshops. This is another opportunity to empower our community and help us All grow and expand, using various resources provided by area non profits, organizers and supporters. These FREE community will provide 2 classes for those interested in writing grants or applying for them. The first class is today at 6:30 PM and the second class is scheduled for Friday, June 5th at 6:30 PM. Find more info at TheHomewoodExperience.com
Gwen’s Girls is hosting a free tutoring session for any student in grades K-12. They’ll be providing live, remote interaction sessions for groups and individuals and will be assisting students and family with getting the necessary equipment needed for success. Pittsburgh Public Schools will host a PPS Cares Parade, to show our families that we care! This parade will allow for our PPS school representatives, Central Office, Executive Cabinet, and Pittsburgh Public Schools Board of Directors to come together to let our families know that we care and that we love our families.
The parade begins at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 1, 2020, departing from five different PPS schools: Pittsburgh Brashear, Classical, Obama, Perry, and Sci-Tech. Families and community members are asked to stand along the parade route to wave at some familiar faces.
