Get your food bucks from Kenny’s and Everyday Café in Homewood! Kenny’s will distribute Community Food Bucks and Giant Eagle gift cards to families and individuals in need. This is happening this Saturday (Sept 5) at The Homewood’s Farmer’s Market (7240 Frankstown Avenue) from 10 am – 12 pm.

Jameelah’s Creative Creations is hosting a back to school event on Saturday from 4P to 7P (rescheduled event) to help the children in need for back to school. Enjoy music, raffle, food stand and more! The event will be held at 900 Wood Street (Pittsburgh 15221)


CEA (Community Empowerment Association) is hosting its bi-weekly Emergency Food First Program on Saturday, September 5th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Homewood Gazebo (corner of Homewood Avenue and Frankstown Avenue in Homewood). Its also a back- to- school Book Bag and School Supply giveaway for underprivileged children in the community.

Volunteers are needed to load trucks , distribute Food Boxes/Bags and School Supplies/Book Bags to families.

Masks are required to volunteer for your protection and safety.


There’s some Greeks in these streets!

Join the ladies of the Delta Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated for a virtual good time. In our new normal, many students will be struggling to participate in their education via internet. Your donation (minimum of $7) will aid in the efforts of The Wilkinsburg Family Support Center to provide internet access for students in need.

DJ TEE JAY will be hosting& spinning!

For your cyber safety, your personal Zoom link will be provided the morning of the event. The fun will begin promptly 2:30 pm.

YOUR DONATION WILL BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE; letters available upon request.
